ADORATION of the Blessed Sacrament will begin again on Wednesdays at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, starting on Wednesday 13th February 9:40am to 12:30pm
ONGOING REFLECTION AND LEARNING ABOUT OUR FAITH.
Held on the 3rd Monday of each month, 5:15pm to 6:00pm in the Ngamotu Room at St Joseph's Church house (use the back door). Article for this month is: To Discern and Reform: The “Francis Option” for Evangelizing a World in Flux. Copies of articles are in foyer of Churches. Have a think & talk about op Francis’ beliefs & vision.
PREPARATION FOR FIRST RECONCILIATION is available to children 7 years and older that have been baptised.
The programme starts on Sunday 24 February, 9.30-10.20am in St Joseph’s church hall.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION at Our Lady Help of Christians begins Sunday 3 March. For those who have already completed the First Reconciliation programme. Full details are in the parish newsletter, or contact the Parish Office, or email Michelle (email@example.com)
MASSES IN TE REO
Held on the 5th Sunday of the month at 10:30am Mass at St Joseph's Church, New Plymouth.
Held at Nga Pekanga, Waitara, on the 2nd Sunday of each month ( Sunday 10 February 2019) Nau mai, haere mai.
HOSPITAL MASS with anointing are held at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, Taranaki Base Hospital on the first Saturday of each month. The next Mass is Saturday 2 March 2019. All are welcome to these Masses.

*For First Reconciliation at St Josephs and Our Lady Help of Christians in 2019, please enrol at the Parish Office in the first instance.
*Older Children's Baptism To prepare children to receive Baptism, we hold a Baptism preparation course annually. The course is divided into four sessions, beginning in October 2019, 9.40am to 10.20am, in St Joseph’s church hall. This time has been chosen to allow for participation at Mass at either the 8.30am or 10.30am, which is about Catholic identity. We ask that both children and parents attend each session. Prior to the course a parent-only introductory session will be held. Enrolment forms are available at the Mass Centres, the Parish Office or contact Michelle (Young Families Minister)7573682.
* Baptism 2019 dates - 4th Sunday of each Month
*First Holy Communion is for those who have already made their First Reconciliation. Please enquire at the Parish Office to enrol for the 2019 programme.
* RCIA - The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults: Programmes start October each year. To enquire / enrol in the 2019 programme please contact the Parish Office.
* Preparation for Marriage Please enquire/enrol at the Parish Office for 2019 course.
* Confirmation The next Confirmation course is in 2019
* Adult Confirmation. For all Catholic baptised adults, 18years and older - please enquire at the Parish Office
Volunteers from St Joseph’s Saint Vincent de Paul Society and the Catholic Women’s League, fellow parishioners and students from Sacred Heart Girl’s College and Francis Douglas Memorial College provide free community meals (though donations gladly accepted) every Tuesday in St Joseph’s Hall Supper Room, 151, Devon Street West between 5:30 – 6:30 pm. All are welcome.
People interested in providing cooked meals, or serving food please contact the Parish Office.
If you know of any house bound people who would like to come but require transport please let the Parish Office know.
