Sacrament of Confirmation 2024
Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation. It deepens and strengthens in us the life we entered through Baptism.
Receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens the Christian’s relationship with God. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are strengthened: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. In this way, the Christian, including YOU, is equipped to become a better witness to Christ in the world.
This year's Confirmation Programme theme is GREATNESS, echoing the wisdom of the late Pope Benedict XVI: “The world offers you comfort, but you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness!”
I hope that through this theme, you will come to realise that you were created by God, loved by Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit to make a difference in the world. You can be the face of Christ, sharing love and mercy, the hands of Christ to embrace the lost, and the voice of Christ, bringing peace and comfort.

An attendance record is kept, and completing sessions is required to ensure you are fully prepared to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, 30 June 2024.
