Sacrament of Confirmation 2026
Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation, which enhances and deepens the spiritual journey that begins with Baptism.
Receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens a Christian's relationship with God and fortifies the Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord. This empowerment equips Christians to witness Christ in the world more effectively.
The Catholic Parish of New Plymouth offers an engaging and spirited Confirmation programme during Term 2. The programme consists of seven sessions, including a weekend confirmation camp and a Confirmation Mass on Sunday, 28 June 2026, at 9:00 am at St. Joseph's Church.

Attendance at all sessions and the camp is essential, so please ensure your participation.
